Beyond The Kitchen is a project that is owned and operated by the City of Columbia City. Its main purpose is to provide a commercial kitchen and classroom space for food entrepreneurs. Business owners will be able to increase their productivity and have new opportunities for expanding the types of places their products can be sold. Soon, Beyond the Kitchen will also offer educational opportunities with potential topics ranging from business operations to cake decorating. Whether you are just getting started or have been operating out of your own kitchen for years, Beyond the Kitchen wants to join you on your entrepreneurial journey and help create more opportunities whenever you are ready.

In support of this mission, Whitley County Consolidated Schools (WCCS) is proud to partner with the City of Columbia City to offer the commercial kitchen and classroom space at the WCCS Administrative Center to house Beyond The Kitchen. WCCS supports entrepreneurs because they embody the same qualities the district helps build in its students – ambition, connection, knowledge, and preparedness through Eagle P.R.I.D.E., skills of persistence, respectfulness, initiative, dependability, and efficiency. The City of Columbia City and WCCS know our community is better together, and Beyond The Kitchen looks forward to supporting the entrepreneurs who will accomplish great things.
